BFA employs a team of specialist advisors who work with individuals and groups of students.
They are highly trained and specialise in areas such as autism, behaviour, mental health, literacy and numeracy difficulties.
Every student has their own specialist advisor who plans their curriculum and monitors their progress. Specialist Advisors also liaise with parents / carers, outside agencies and commissioners, reporting on student progress, attendance and any issues.
Individual work with students is focused on strategies to overcome any barriers to engagement with learning and also on progression routes - back to school, to college or into employment after their time at BFA.
Our specialists also work alongside schools providing training and support for staff and students in mainstream settings.
